Certificate in Youth Work

Our Certificate in Christian Youth Work is called Engage: Youth Ministry. Engage provides youth workers with the knowledge and skills that they need to be competent and confident Christian youth workers within churches or organisations.

It is delivered through six training days with additional learning guided through online study, guided reading and practice based learning. It is suitable for any context and teaches basic understanding and best practice to work effectively with young people in clubs, youth groups and other voluntary settings. Successful completion of the course leads to a nationally recognised qualification accredited by the NOCN (National Open College Network) and a JNC endorsement as a youth support worker.

It is designed for people who work with young people in their spare-time or part-time.

Engage is delivered in a number of centres across the UK. The course has been provided at Ridley since its inception. We are particularly encouraged that a number of students have maintained their connection with Ridley by taking up places on the degree courses.

The administration of the course is dealt with by CYM Core Services at Swindon.
