Ministerial reflective practice
Ministerial reflective practice is at the heart of the children and youth degree streams and is the process whereby students wrestle with the realities of their ministry in the light of God's word.
Ministerial reflective practice is incorporated throughout the pathway, however it is specifically held within the Theology in Practice modules in year’s one and two, and the optional practice module in year 3. The assignment for these modules is a portfolio of theologically informed reflections that the student compiles with the help of a ministerial practice tutor who facilitates the formation groups that are delivered on the Tuesday afternoons of the block weeks.
Ministerial practice tutors are expert practitioners in the field including CYM Ridley Hall cores staff. Ministerial reflection and formation is further supported through visiting speakers on the Friday afternoons of the block weeks.
