Jude Davis becomes Britain's youngest priest
"Hey, Jude has become Britain's youngest Church of England priest aged just 24" - the newspaper headline pun was inevitable, perhaps! Jude Davis, who is serving in the parish of Doncaster Minister, in Yorkshire, is a wonderful example of the growing trend towards young vocations, highlighted recently on the Ridley website.
'Pub Olympics' carries on Ridley darts tradition
Contemporaries of Amanda Howett will remember that along with the usual Ridley sport specialities of "Ridley Rules" croquet, the game of darts became popular as a social pastime in the community!
A real white wedding
It's true that there are no guarantees for clement weather for a wedding in March, but as the Daily Mail reported, Ridley-trained (1998-2000) vicar Adrian Copping didn't expect to be rounding up an army of locals with shovels to make a truly white wedding possible in his Welsh parish.

Ridleian is new Bishop of Blackburn
The current Archdeacon of Dorking, who trained for ministry in the 1970s at Ridley, is to be the new Bishop of Blackburn following the resignation of the Right Revd Nick Reade in October last year.
Parish group visits incumbent's training college

Revd Rachel Livesey, who completed her training at Ridley in 2009, has recently taken up a new appointment as Rector of the Watershed Benefice, in the Diocese of Lichfield.

Ridleian is first South East Asian woman ordained in the C of E
The Church of England's media centre has reported that Eileen Harrop, who graduated in summer 2012 from Ridley, has become the first woman from South East Asia to be ordained in the Church of England.
