This year’s Moule Memorial Lecture, an annual Ridley event since 2008 commemorating our former Vice-Principal C.F.D. ‘Charlie’ Moule, will take place on 8th June.

Venue

The lecture will take place at Lady Mitchell Hall on the University’s Sidgwick Site. Starting at 2.15pm, it will be delivered by a long-time friend of Ridley, the Most Revd Dr Mouneer Anis, and is entitled “My Experience of Christian and Muslim Relations in Egypt”.

About the speaker

Bishop Mouneer began his career as a Doctor of Medicine, receiving his degree from Cairo University, before being ordained in 1999 and serving at All Saints Cathedral, Cairo. He is the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Egypt, and Presiding Bishop of Jerusalem and the Middle East, as well as acting as chairman of the Global South Primates Steering Committee.

Programme for the day

As in previous years, following the lecture there will be a brief update on the latest news from Ridley, before we relocate to the College for tea, cakes and the chance to enjoy the summer weather in the courtyard.

12:30 pm onwards Optional Lunch at Ridley in the Dining Hall (£5 per person)
2:15–3:55 pm Moule Memorial Lecture and Q&A (Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick Site)
4:00 pm Tea and cakes at Ridley Hall, with Staircase gatherings and photographs
Late afternoon Departure

Free entry

We arrange the Moule lecture to be a blessing to our friends, supporters and the city of Cambridge and so we are delighted that this year we are able to continue our tradition of not charging for attendance. Whilst there is no entrance fee, if you are in a position to make a donation, no matter how small or large, we would be very grateful as it will help us to continue to keep this event free of charge for future years.

Further information

Unfortunately, we are unable to extend an invitation to children, and there is no parking available in the college grounds apart from a few spaces for those persons with mobility needs. Cars may be left at one of the Park and Rides around the city (see our vistors' page for details). Please indicate if you need a disabled parking space in the college on your booking form.
