Ridleians in Tough Mudder Challenge!
Our college Sports Deacon (now Senior Student) Danny Driver took the initiative in gathering a group of staff and students to take part in a team-building challenge called Tough Mudder.
Five students, one spouse and a staff member took part. Though it could never be part of the compulsory curriculum of a theological college, it proved to be a remarkable exercise in developing and deepening relationships, working on teamwork and learning hard lessons about interdependence.
'I now have a string of sermon illustrations,' relects Tutor in Christian Life and Thought, Adrian Chatfield, 'because so much of what we did and experienced in climbing walls, going seven times through very cold water, dodging electric cables and barbed wires, is a metaphor for life and ways in which as Christians we are called to live life in Christ together!'
