New Principal Licensed

The new Principal of Ridley Hall, Rev Dr Michael Volland, was licensed by Stephen Conway, the Bishop of Ely at a joyful service on Wednesday 8th February.

 Licensing at St Mark's Newnham

The service took place at the local parish church of St. Mark’s, Newnham, as the chapel at Ridley Hall, built to accommodate the needs of a much smaller community, was not large enough to host the number of staff, students and other guests who attended.

The Bishop of Birmingham, David Urqhart, who is Chair of the Ridley Trustees, preached an inspired message from 2 Corinthians 4 on ’treasure in jars of clay’. The event was marked by an atmosphere of prayerful celebration and marks the beginning of an exciting new season in the life of Ridley Hall.
