News from and for alumni
Exciting news! This coming year, we are planning to send some of our mailings by email.
As we launch the Annual Fund appeal for the coming academic year, student Sam Carter tells us about Books Down Day, which is one of the projects that the Annual Fund supports by providing supplies to allow ordinands to take part in College sponsored missionary activity in Cambridge.
Our Annual Fund is used to fund additional developmental courses that build on our holistic training method, which couldn’t be afforded otherwise.
One of the bigger expenditures that the Annual Fund paid for this year was our new servery counter, Tabgha. Your support raised £8,600 in total, over half of the total cost, and allowed us to afford the purchase.
It is with sadness that we report the passing of The Revd Peter Lloyd, who trained at Ridley Hall in 1960/61.
We were delighted to hear this week of the Revd Liz Adekunle's appointment as the new Archdeacon of Hackney.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of the Revd Dr Michael Volland as Director of Context-based Training. His responsibilities will span the training of all Ridley ordinands and iCYM students, as well as the teaching of other Federation students. He will also be working with dioceses and partner agencies in the development of our contextual training. He will move to Cambridge with his family at the end of August.
Congratulations to Philip Swift on successfully completing his dissertation on business ethics under the supervision of Revd Dr Richard Higginson, and his presentation with a Lambeth S.TH (Student of Theology) degree at Lambeth Palace.
A new book by former Bursar of Ridley, Richard Noble, has been published to warm reviews from reviewers and customers alike.
