A former Ridleian (1978-80), the Rt Revd Dr Graham Kings, currently Bishop of Sherborne, has been appointed Mission Theologian in the Anglican Communion from July 2015.

Kate Nix 1961-2015

It is with deep sadness, that on behalf of Kate’s family we share the news of her untimely death on Thursday 12 March.   She had been living with the knowledge that she had an incurable sarcoma for 18 months, and despite chemotherapy and tough treatment, she maintained a positive spirit and “carried on as normal, as far as that was possible”.

Our Moule Memorial Lecture this year will be given by Revd Dr Christopher J H Wright, an alumnus of Ridley and the International Ministries Director of Langham Partnership International.  His lecture is entitled “Declare his glory among the nations: Reading the Old Testament for Mission”.

Ridley's Tutor in Christian Life and Thought, Adrian Chatfield, launched Ridley Hall’s early response to Christian Aid week by running the Cambridge Half Marathon on Sunday 8 March 2015 in a personal best time of 1:53.06.

Ridley Hall’s Principal hosted a dinner at Lambeth Palace on 24 January for Christian and Muslim campus leaders from Northern Nigeria, the concluding event in a six-day workshop run by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation.

Following the success of the inaugural Newbigin Summer Institute in 2014, Ridley's Tutor in Mission Studies and Director of the Newbigin Centre, Paul Weston, is partnering once again with the Newbigin House of Studies in San Francisco to organise the 2015 Lesslie Newbigin Summer Institute here in Cambridge.
