Ridley People: Teaching Staff

The Reverend Canon Jane Keiller

Jane is part-time Chaplain, Tutor in Prayer and Chaplain to the Simeon Centre. Jane's role is almost entirely pastoral, helping students to develop their prayer lives and to work through personal issues that arise during training. She works alongside Adrian Chatfield in running the Simeon Centre encouraging and enabling prayer both within Ridley and the wider Church. She was a secondary school teacher before studying theology in Durham and Bangalore.

Since 1980 she has worked as deaconess, deacon and priest in three different Cambridge Churches. She is a member of the Grove Spirituality Group. She has completed a three-year course based in London on the Exercises of St Ignatius and Spiritual Direction, and is now a staff member on a locally based course that teaches spiritual direction. Jane is married to Andrew, a water engineer, and they have three adult children. As a family they have spent extended periods abroad in Oman and Malaysia.
