Role at Ridley:

Development Assistant

Robert SmithRobert's job is to assist the Development Team in whatever is needed on a day-to-day basis, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly in the department.

His main roles include sending out letters, proof-reading and researching for applications. He will mainly be focused on the Annual Fund, and ensuring that it reaches its targets. His office door is always open, if people have any questions on the various aspects that the Development Office is involved with.

Personal Background

Robert was born in Durham, before moving south to Portsmouth not long after this. Before coming to Ridley, he completed a BA in History at Durham University, and the Medieval History MPhil at Cambridge, for which he researched Viking religion. He has also worked at HMS Warrior 1860 in a number of different roles, as well as volunteering at Fishbourne Roman Palace in his holidays.
