Reflections by Professor CFD Moule
Aspects of Christian Belief is described by its author as ‘no more than spontaneous reflections of one elderly believer’. The ‘elderly believer’, in fact, is no less than the highly respected and much loved Professor Charlie Moule, former Lady Margaret Professor of Divinity, University of Cambridge. They are among the final writings of this fine biblical scholar and deeply Christian person written in 2004, a few years before his death on 30 th September 2007. Charlie kindly gave permission for their publication on the Ridley Hall website some time before he died. We are grateful to him for this last act of generosity to the theological college to which he gave so much first as Student, then as Vice-Principal, Chair of Council and, in his retirement, Senior Scholar in Residence. Preaching and Painting - electronic book
Preaching and Painting is a collection of ten sermons by Ridley's Director of Studies and Lecturer in Christian Ethics, Richard Higginson.
"The sermons were all preached over the last five years", says Richard, "where I have made use of paintings in my preaching. The positive response I have received makes clear that many people appreciate visual communication as much as verbal communication. I am therefore pleased to make these sermons more widely available in an electronic form."
