Ministerial Practice Tutor (Ridley Online)
Jess is a Ministerial Practice Tutor with Ridley Online, working with students to discuss, explore and develop themselves and their practice by reflectively drawing theological concepts and real-life ministry together.
Jess studied at Ridley Hall between 2016 and 2019 as part of the Ridley Lay Ministry programme and graduated with a first-class honours degree in Theology, Ministry and Mission, specialising in Youth Ministry.
Throughout her time at Ridley, she became increasingly passionate about grounding ministry and leadership in good quality, Christ-centred training, and was therefore excited to join the Ridley Online team in 2021.

Roles outside Ridley
As well as working for Ridley, Jess works for a small church in Haywards Heath, West Sussex where she coordinates one of the leadership teams and leads the children’s and youth ministry.
Jess also works part time as a Senior Teaching Assistant at a local secondary school, specialising in understanding and managing challenging behaviour through intervention and mentoring.
- Personal interests
Over the years it is a growing passion for the local church — empowering, encouraging and mobilising the body of Christ, that has become the driving force behind much of what Jess spends her time doing.
In the moments in between, Jess is often found in the kitchen baking for friends, at the gym, in the garden or hitting the charity shops in search of a bargain!
