The Rt Revd Debbie Sellin

Debbie Sellin is Bishop of Southampton in the Diocese of Winchester.
She has been involved in church leadership for over 20 years and was ordained in 2007. She has been Bishop of Southampton since 2019.
Before moving to Winchester Diocese, Debbie ministered in Guildford Diocese, with experience of large gathered church (St Saviours, Guildford) and smaller suburban church (Wonersh). She also served as Hon. Canon in Guildford Cathedral.
Debbie grew up in a rectory in Scotland, her father being an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church. On graduating from St Andrews University she spent a number of years working in hospital management.
She is married to Paul, a professor in physics at Surrey University. They have two adult sons, one a history teacher near Cambridge and one a software engineer.
