The Venerable Hugh K McCurdy


Hugh has been the Archdeacon of Huntingdon and Wisbech since 2005. Before that he was Vicar of St Andrew’s, Histon for 14 years and Priest in Charge of St Andrew’s, Impington for 8 years. He therefore has experience of suburban ministry and more recently as archdeacon rural ministry. He is passionate about growing churches, community engagement and discipleship.

He is married to Ruth and has three grown up children. Hugh enjoys cycling and can often be seen around the Fens on his bike. He grows vegetables (badly) and enjoys visiting art galleries and good theatre.

He is Trustee of a number of local organisations including Wisbech Grammar School and Cambridgeshire ACRE, as well as President of the Huntingdonshire Society for the Blind.
