Studying with Ridley Online

Who is this course for?

Our online provision has a specific focus on training those who work with children and young people in a voluntary or employed capacity.

Training online with Ridley will enable you to develop your theological knowledge, ministerial skill and missional ability.

How will I study?

You will be asked to undertake directed tasks in your own time during the week and attend online zoom classes. The zoom classes are delivered between 6pm and 7.45pm on a Monday evening during term time.

Alongside the online training you will have the opportunity to meet with an experienced tutor once a month, who will support you to get the most out of the course.

More about the Foundation Award

More about the Foundation Award

The Foundation Award provides an opportunity for you to study theology online and explore its application to your ministry.

Delivered across three modules, the typical commitment is one module per term, making it the most accessible course we offer in terms of time commitment and flexibility of study.

The Foundation Award enables experienced practitioners to go deeper in their theological grounding, and those new to ministry to experience theological and ministerial study for the first time in an accessible and supportive environment.

Please note:
it is possible to progress from the Foundation Award and complete the Certificate in Higher Education in the following year.

More about the Cert HE

More about the Cert HE

Whether you are a volunteer in full-time employment, a full-time parent, or starting out in full-time ministry, the Cert HE will provide the theological and ministerial foundation you need to grow in your calling.

Students undertaking the Cert HE typically work with children and young people in some capacity and undertake study in children's and family ministry, youth ministry, pastoral ministry, discipleship (reflective practice), old testament, new testament and Christian history and doctrine.

For those who aren’t don’t wish to focus on youth, children's and family ministry, there is an option to undertake an independent learning project in an area of your choice.
