Choosing a Lay Ministry course
The BA in Theology, Ministry and Mission
The majority of lay ministry students at Ridley undertake the BA full-time over three years. The BA degree provides a solid foundation in ministry and mission, robust development and the opportunity to specialise in an area of ministry through independent study.
The Diploma of Higher Education in Theology, Ministry and Mission
Some students with first degrees choose to undertake the Diploma full-time over two years, rather than undertake a second BA. The Diploma provides a solid foundation and robust development in the student's ministerial specialism.
The Certificate of Higher Education in Theology, Ministry and Mission
Students looking for a solid foundation in ministry and mission and/or studying through partner agencies may undertake the CertHE either full-time over one year, or part-time over two. Many students on this route choose to progress to the BA as self-funded students.
The Foundation in Theology and Reflective Practice (Taster Module)
Students requiring access qualifications and/or exploring their vocation may undertake the Taster module. Most students progress from the Taster module to the CertHE.
