Training for Lay Ministry at Ridley

"The impact that the course has had on my practice has been massive." Jess Beaumont, student

Ridley Hall offers courses for students from all church traditions to explore and develop their calling in a range of ministries both inside and outside the church.

You can chose to study at our Cambridge campus, or you can undertake the first year of the degree (Cert HE) from your own home through Ridley Online.

Students studying at our Cambridge campus join their peers at Ridley Hall for module teaching delivered across six weeks of the year. Most students undertake the full BA while specialising in youth ministry, children's and family ministry, or sports ministry. Students integrate their studies with a ministerial placement of approximately 16 hours a week across each year of study. Graduates go into leadership roles within the church, para-church or mission organisations; pioneer new communities or start-up new ministry organisations.

Students studying the Cert HE through Ridley Online can be in full-time employment, managing a family, working in the community or engaged in their first church role as an apprentice or other staff member. Whatever your current situation, studying the Cert HE with Ridley Online will support you to take the next step in following God’s calling on your life.
