New Chapel Piano arrives
Ridley recently got an early Christmas present; a new piano for the Chapel, the purchase of which was only made possible by your support.
As you may remember, this year’s Easter Appeal from the Principal focused on the need for new equipment for the College chapel, including the necessity of replacing the old piano. At the end of last term, the long-awaited replacement was moved into its new home, and played for the first time by our excited ordinands.
Jassica Castillo-Burley, Music Deacon at Ridley, sees the replacement as a much needed one. 'We are so blessed by the number of ordinands and spouses who use their musical gifts to serve the college and develop our musical worship life. We're really excited about getting to grips with this great new piece of kit which I'm sure will help us stretch our creativity and grow in our expression of musical worship'.
This new piano is only the first part of a wider upgrade to the worshipping capacity of the Chapel, involving further upgrades to the AV system, which will continue over the coming year. This much needed renovation is only possible because of your kind donations, which raised £5,300 for this cause. We would like to say a huge thank you for your generosity, and hope you will keep an eye on the website for further updates.
