Exciting future for Faith in Business

Faith in Business is a centre that has been supported and encouraged by Ridley Hall since 1989. Throughout that time Richard Higginson, also tutor in ethics and Director of Studies, has been its Director.

In August 2018 Richard retires from employment at the College after 29 years of service. This is a significant moment and offers a good opportunity for the College and Faith in Business to think in fresh ways about their respective futures. The work of Faith in Business will continue but there will no longer be a formal link with Ridley Hall.

Richard has become its chair, and Peter Heslam, already Director of the complementary organisation Transforming Business, has become its director.

Faith in Business’ spring weekend conference for businesspeople will continue, and from April 2019 it will be held at Westminster College, Cambridge, organised by Peter Heslam.

For more information about Faith in Business see its website www.faith-in-business.org, and for information about the journal Faith in Business Quarterly see www.fibq.org

Ridley Hall wishes Faith in Business well in its exciting transition to a new stage and structure and looks forward to continuing to support the centre in creative new ways.

Ridley Hall’s commitment to encouraging and building up the ministry of the laity is stronger than ever and continues full steam ahead in the energetic focus on the growth of Ridley Lay Ministry (RLM), which will top 50 students in Cambridge in September in addition to a new intake at our ‘Ridley London’ Centre. As we look to the future this is to be a focus of Ridley’s resourcing – building up lay ministries in the world of work and beyond.
