New Pastoral Tutor
We are delighted to announce that from September, the Revd Rachel Rosborough will be joining the staff team as a Pastoral Tutor.
I am relatively new to Cambridge, having moved here in June 2017 to take up my current role as Priest in Charge of St Andrew’s, Grantchester and St Mark’s, Newnham.
Before that I was in Gloucester Diocese where, following a curacy in Cheltenham, I spent six years as the incumbent of five Cotswold churches. During my time in Gloucester Diocese, I was also a vocations officer and then Assistant DDO and acted as link officer for one of our Diocesan international partnerships. I undertook my theological training full time at St John’s, Nottingham following a move from Surrey.
Before that I had a number of different jobs in churches and the charity sector and in Customer Services and as a beer and spirits taster for an independent brewing company. My particular interests are around culture and faith, ministerial formation, encouraging the whole people of God in their vocation, whatever that may be, and how people experience and encounter God in the everyday.
My MA dissertation was a theological reflection on our diocesan partnerships looking especially at how we deal with disagreement and difference. I am married to Sam and we have two older teenagers. I also enjoy travelling, pub quizzes, birdwatching and whiskey.
The Principal, the Revd Dr Michael Volland, says, 'I am absolutely delighted that Rachel will be joining the staff team at Ridley. She brings significant current experience of mission-focused leadership in the parish. She has a gift for pastoral ministry and is an excellent communicator. The Ridley community will benefit hugely from her work among us.'
Please pray for Rachel and her family as she prepares to join in with what God is doing at Ridley Hall.
