Ridleian is new Bishop of Blackburn
The current Archdeacon of Dorking, who trained for ministry in the 1970s at Ridley, is to be the new Bishop of Blackburn following the resignation of the Right Revd Nick Reade in October last year.
After leaving Ridley, Julian Henderson, who is married with two adult children, served his first curacy at Islington St Mary in the Diocese of London. His ministry has ranged across the dioceses of Chichester and Guildford, where he was made an Honorary Canon of Guildford Cathedral in 2002. He has served as Archdeacon of Dorking since 2005.
