Training to take school assemblies
In partnership with Ronni Lamont from Assemblies.org.uk, Cambridge Youthwork Collective is pleased to offer a training day which aims to enable and encourage those who lead assemblies and collective worship in schools.
Whilst sharing ideas with other practitioners, you will learn how to create and deliver engaging and innovative assemblies for primary and secondary schools. In addition, the training will allow you to understand and apply the law and OFSTED criteria.
Create and deliver engaging and innovative assemblies
Many of us who are asked to lead School Assembly/Collective Worship feel nervous of what we are doing: What does the law say? How can I keep the students interested? Can I talk about my faith? What will the teachers think?
www.assemblies.org.uk provides online support for the actual content, along with some resources on ‘how to’, but many people would rather learn together, in an encouraging environment that takes the fear out of the process. Thanks to grant funding, in partnership with SPCK, Ridley can now offer a training day for those who lead Assemblies/Collective worship in our schools, offering a chance to network, share and learn together.
Sorry, we are now fully booked!
