Make 2021 the year you follow your calling
Embrace new opportunities, deepen your faith, meet new friends who share your passions, and explore your calling through Ridley Hall’s unique training programme. Study for a theology qualification with your chosen specialism while learning on the job in a ministry context that fits your life and calling.
Are you passionate about ministry at work, at the school gate, in the community, on the sports field or in a church? Ready to explore your calling more deeply and be better equipped for God’s call? Book today onto our next Open Day by Zoom on March 2nd to find out about enrolling on one of our courses designed to support and develop your ministry.
Most students studying at our Cambridge campus specialise in youth ministry, sports ministry, children's and family ministry or lay pioneer ministry. The majority of graduates go on to leadership roles in the Church, whether that's within mission, evangelism, ministry or community engagement.
The Ridley Approach
Study at Cambridge for six manageable block teaching weeks spread out through the year, and spend the remainder of your time applying your learning and developing your skills in a ministry team.
Our approach combines in-depth study taught by leading practitioners and scholars in your specialism with theological reflection – a safe space where you can learn alongside peers and wrestle with the realities of putting your learning into practice.
Discover Ridley Hall in Cambridge
Positioned in the centre of the beautiful city of Cambridge, Ridley is a vibrant and welcoming community, made up of women and men of all ages, many of whom are training for ordination, while others are senior ministers and scholars visiting from around the world.
Lay ministry students are encouraged to get to know the wider community, and there are multiple opportunities – from chatting over lunch to teaming up on the college lawn for Ridley Rules Croquet!
Like other colleges, we are currently operating remotely – but be assured we are running at full strength and taking applications now for September 2021. Our teaching weeks will be held online until it’s safe for us to return to gathering in Cambridge, and many of our students are still working in their ministry contexts, but in new and creative ways.
