"Growing in Wisdom to Proclaim Jesus Christ"

The 2018 C. F. D. Moule Memorial Lecture was delivered by the Archbishop of York, the Most Reverend and Most Honorable Dr John Sentamu.

About the C. F. D. Moule Memorial Lectures

The Moule Memorial Lecture Series is our way of honouring Professor C. F. D. ‘Charlie’ Moule, former Vice-Principal of Ridley and Lady Margaret Professor of New Testament for many years in the University of Cambridge Divinity Faculty.

Charlie Moule was a wonderful man, a fine pastor and New Testament scholar whose family has been linked with Ridley from the very founding of our College; Charlie’s great uncle Handley Moule was our first Principal.

Charlie himself trained here, taught here, served on the Council, and was a wise presence at Ridley during the early years of his retirement. He was a man who combined profound humility, brilliance of mind, dedication of service, and holiness of life. After inspiring generations of Ridleians he died in September 2007 at the age of 98.
