The Word's Out: revised, updated and relaunched

The Revd Dr Paul Weston (Tutor and Senior Lecturer in Mission Studies) and Revd Canon David Male (Ridley Associate and Director of Evangelism and Discipleship at Church House) will both speak at the relaunch of The Word's Out, along with the Rt Revd Andrew Watson, Bishop of Guildford.

"My hope", says Paul, "is that the book inspires new patterns of thinking and practice at the local level". Revised and updated since its original publication in 2013 with a new Foreword by Archbishop Justin Welby, the book sets out principles and strategies for evangelism that are theologically rooted, practical and relevant to the 21st century. "It's ideal for any leader who wants their church to be more effective evangelistically but doesn't know what to do about that", says David.

"Evangelism is one of those words that seem to have become one of those embarrassing topics of conversations in recent times. I am delighted that Dave Male and Paul Weston have taken the opportunity to challenge the perceptions about evangelism and to encourage and equip people for the task of being Good News today."
