The Ridley Award offers a fully online introductory course in sports mission and ministry that you can take in your own time and at your own pace.
Through 18 interactive podcast-based lessons, experts in the field will support you to develop your thinking and practice, equipping you and your church to engage with mission through sport. You can even take classes while exercising in the gym, walking the dog, or commuting!
What is the Ridley Award?
The Award is Ridley Hall’s new online offering for those who want to share the gift of Jesus through a love of sport.
Designed to be an engaging accessible and purposeful learning experience, it actively encourages you to build on your current experiences, your personal faith journey and your existing biblical knowledge, to go deeper in your use of sport for God’s purposes.
How is the course delivered?
The course is delivered fully online through a series of interactive podcasts, with the opportunity to share your thoughts, experiences and learning in creative ways as and when you wish. Interaction with tutors is informal and occurs alongside your online discussions with peers.
Who can take the Award?
Fully accessible, with no prior qualifications required, the course can be taken by individuals, or together as a local group who are seeking to explore how God might be calling them to engage with in mission in a sporting context.
How will it help my faith and ministry?
On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Ridley Award in Sports Mission and Ministry. As well as providing you with a solid foundation in sports mission and ministry that is rooted in your everyday faith, the Award will also provide you with a framework for your own ongoing discipleship and a foundation for further study should you so wish.
