About

Sally is a formation tutor with Ridley Online and has contributed teaching to both Ridley Online and Ridley Lay Ministry courses. She lives in Birmingham and is a freelance theological educator, researcher, mentor/coach, spiritual accompanier, ministry consultant and an Anglican priest licensed in a self-supporting role to an outer estate church in Birmingham.

Sally has been involved in training people for ministry, mainly youth and children’s ministry since 1984. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, has an MA in education and two practical theology doctorates, the first on supporting urban youth workers, the second on shame in the church.

Publications

Sally has edited and written a wide range of books and peer reviewed journal articles on ministry including work with children and young people, collaborative ministry, reflective practice, spiritual care and shame.

She edits the Grove Youth Series as well as publishing a number of booklets in that series, the most recent being the Vulnerable Youth Worker.
