Jack is the Director of studies for the undergraduate common awards programmes. He’s also the Learning Support Officer for all Ridley students.
Originally from Liverpool, Jack has spent time in St Andrews, where he completed his PhD, Bristol, and now lives in Cambridge. He's also Dyslexic and so understands the world of SPLD having been through it himself.
Academic Background
Jacks PhD (2025) from the University of St Andrews explores the compatibility of divine passibility and immutability. His PhD also explored theological language, philosophy of time and eternity, trinity and prayer. He also holds an MLitt in Systematic and Historical theology, also from St Andrews and a BA(Hons) in Christian Theology and Politics from Liverpool Hope University.
Jack works primarily in Systematic Theology and is currently working on a book, ‘The Eternally Passible God’ with Routledge. He is also researching the doctrinal underpinning of charismatic practice.
