EcoChurch Silver Award Winner 2023

After much hard work behind the scenes, Ridley Hall is pleased to announce that we have now been awarded an Eco Church Silver Award by A Rocha, having previously achieved the Bronze Award in 2019.

A Rocha UK is a Christian environmental charity which works to demonstrate that the Gospel should be good news for God’s earth through projects such as Eco Church, Partners in Action and Wild Christian.

The Eco Church Award currently consists of a survey of five different criteria designed to equip and inspire churches and Christian organisations from all denominations to express care for God’s earth. These include promoting care for the environment in our worship and teaching, improving the sustainability of our buildings, caring for our land, promoting community and global engagement with environmental concerns and encouraging sustainable lifestyles.

We hope in the future to build on this success, and we are currently exploring how we can work towards achieving a Gold Award!
