Proposed Supervisor: Research ProposalAll PhD applicants are required to submit a research proposal of approximately 1,500 words. We do not expect your proposal to be perfect, but it does need to show promise and provide convincing evidence that you can meet the demanding requirements of doctoral study. Your proposal should contain: (1) a concise title; (2) a clear and viable research question(s); (3) a brief overview of the relevant secondary literature, exploring the theoretical and methodological foundations of your research (e.g., how you intend to carry out your project) and the current state of knowledge in your subject; (4) details of why your research is original and what it will contribute to the scholarly conversation; (5) an indicative bibliography.
