Dr Rob Barward-Symmons is Senior Research and Impact Manager at Bible Society and co-director of the Centre for Church Growth Research at St John's College, Durham. After studying Theology at undergraduate level, Rob completed his PhD in the sociology and anthropology of religion at the University of Kent in 2020, focused on faith formation in evangelical youth groups. Along with a stint as a tutor at Ridley Hall, he has previously worked at the University of York and Theos Think Tank. His first monograph, 'Becoming Evangelical: Life and Liminalities in Christian Youth Groups', based on his PhD research, will be published in June by Bloomsbury.
