Rev'd Andrew Dunlop has been appointed as the new Director of Mission and Ministry Development for the Diocese of Rochester. Andrew, currently our Lecturer in Mixed Ecology Mission and Contextual Training and Safeguarding Officer, will lead the newly formed Mission and Ministry Development team. This team brings together the Diocese of Rochester's work with children and young people alongside that of formation and ministry, as they seek to strengthen their ability to grow younger churches, leaders, and disciples, while committing to becoming more diverse to reflect more fully the communities they serve.
While we will miss Andrew’s passion and dedication at Ridley, we know he will be a tremendous asset to the team in Rochester. His expertise in church planting and contextual ecclesiology, along with his previous experience in pioneering a fresh expression of church, will greatly benefit the Diocese.
"Andrew has been an amazing tutor at Ridley for the last six years and we will hugely miss his passion for mission and expertise in pioneering. He will be a great asset and colleague for Rochester Diocese, and we pray for him, for his family and the Diocese as he settles in this exciting new role."
Rev'd Dr. Isabelle Hamley, Principal of Ridley.
Andrew had this to say:
"I’m excited to be joining the Diocese of Rochester and the Mission and Ministry Development team. I look forward to working with the diocese in shaping and implementing diocesan policy to resource, develop, and support ordained and lay missional leaders across the Diocese. Please keep my family and I in your prayers as we prepare for this new adventure."
We will be saying goodbye to Andrew in January 2025. Further details about his welcome will be provided in due course.
