Howard has led the catering department at Ridley for over 5 years and has taken the food and dining experience to new heights, constantly looking to improve and raise the standards of his team.
A classically trained chef with more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, focused mainly in high end restaurants and hotels; Howard joined us after winning the 2019 national pub of the year whilst at the Cock inn, Hemingford Grey, earning a place in the Michelin guide and awarded a Michelin plate, an accolade of which he is extremely proud to have been a part of.
Along with his incredible team, Howard brings some of those huge influences to every day life at Ridley, aiming to provide balanced, healthy, seasonal, varying and generally delicious food.
During his time at Ridley, Howard has grown and developed the hospitality department to include a private dining enterprise, Ridley Hall Dining and Events, which caters for both internal and external clients.
Outside of college, Howard is married and has two young children. He is huge cricket fan (to the point of obsession), a passionate gardener and chicken keeper.
