Funding for Ordination Training
The vast majority of ordinands are fully funded by the Church of England for their tuition fees. Some degrees entail higher costs and can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
The Church of England also has grants available to support living, study, and travel costs. See the Church of England’s website for further information on financial support for ordination candidates.
The length of an ordinand’s training depends on their age at the start of study: three years for the under-32s or two years for 32 years old and over.
