Partners

The community as a whole benefits enormously from partners being involved in various aspects of life at Ridley, and we positively encourage you to see your time here as an opportunity to develop lasting friendships, to grow in faith, hope and love and to deepen your understanding of God's call on your life.

"The Prayer Weekend reminded me of one of the main reasons we chose Ridley over other theological colleges: the excellent provision for spouses. I haven’t been disappointed since I arrived." Andria Hutchings, wife of former ordinand Tom Hutchings

Spice: Ridley Spouses Group

Spice is a group run by and for the spouses, partners, boyfriends and girlfriends of ordinands currently studying at Ridley Hall. It is made up of men and women of all ages, representing a variety of experiences and interests.

“The primary aim of Spice is to love, support and encourage each other on our journey alongside our partner ordinand at Ridley Hall. Everyone is welcome to participate in as little or as much as they would like.” SPICE Co-ordinator

Spice meets twice a week during term time. Monday evenings provide an opportunity to hear outside speakers on a range of topics, together with social space and time to pray together. Thursday morning meetings normally start with a time to chat over coffee before a Bible study and prayer.

Spice also runs a number of different interest groups through the year, which change according to the interests of current members. In the past these groups have included Supper Club, Book Club, Sew Make Bake (craft group) and Working Spice.

Children

We welcome and value children as an important part of the Ridley community. College Communion is every Thursday during term time. Children’s activities are provided on site during the service in the form of Ridley Teens, Ridley Kids and a crèche.

Once or twice a term, children join with their parents in an all-age worship service for the whole Ridley community at a local church.
