The Revd Ian Adams
Roles at Ridley:
Tutor in Pioneer Learning and Context-based Training
Ian teaches Pioneer Learning and Context-based Training at Ridley and in the Federation.
He has a particular interest in finding words, images and rituals that may enable the Jesus possibility to be encountered in a fast changing world. A favourite metaphor for Ian comes from the world of jazz, which continues to be discovered through the playing of visionaries who are both deeply in love with the tradition, and always innovating to allow the music to unfold and expand.
Ian is passionate about the need for nurturing lives rooted in love for God, for neighbour and for the earth. Attention, stillness and prayer are, he suggests, the essential foundations for such a life. As we explore this path we may rediscover our deep union with God, our at-oneness with all, and a renewed desire to help reshape the world for good.
around; softening begins
here, pebbles rolled smooth.
